A-CSPO Certification Training Overview

As a Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO®), you’ve been introduced to Scrum values, practices, and applications. You now understand how to facilitate product development, teamwork and improvement processes through the use of Scrum.

Product Ownership is a lifelong journey. Using Scrum values and Agile principles to develop world class products takes diligence, testing and agility. Your goal is a continuous improvement of the product that leads to success as defined by your goals.

To further enhance your knowledge and skills, the next step is achieving an Advanced Certified Scrum Product Owner® (A-CSPO®) certification from Scrum Alliance®. 3Back’s advanced offering is ideal for a Certified Scrum Product Owner who has one or more years of work experience in that role.

Through the A-CSPO course you will learn:

  • Product Ownership
  • Working with Stakeholders
  • Advanced Purpose and Strategy
  • Empathizing with Customers and Users
  • Advanced Product Assumption Validation
  • Advanced Techniques For Working With The Product Backlog

Here's what we do:

  • The A-CSPO is a very intense course, and our goal is to maximize our student outcomes in the 16 hours we have together.
  • 12 of those 16 hours are guided learning, where you will be working, reading, completing exercises, discussions, and so on. We guide you through 13 learning modules with great materials, discussions, and exercises. All of the Learning Objectives will be verified in 12 Contact hours while you are working through assignments that are reviewed. We facilitate this for you by review, by verifying you've completed each module before moving to the next one, and by having our admin available to you for questions.
  • 4 of these 16 hours are Office Hours, where the Trainer does Coaching, Mentoring and Q&A based on the Students' questions and supports the LOs. In practice, the vast majority of this time is spent talking about work problems or misperceptions about agile and scrum.

We believe, and our reviews validate, that this structure provides a near-optimal learning experience for our Students.

Product Ownership training is 100% online and hosted on a learning management platform. There are no required software applications or additional training materials needed.

A-CSPO Certification Reviews

Great value, and great content!

Jonathan A.

Dan knows what he's talking about! I came into this class thinking I was ahead of the game, and he proved me wrong! I learned so much and there's no doubt it will have a positive impact on our business. Can't recommend 3Back enough. Great value, and great content!

I highly recommend 3Back to anyone

Christopher L.

I've taken courses through 3Back in the past and returned to take additional courses because I loved the instructors, content and convenience. With the pandemic, it has become critical to be able to take courses remotely. The remote Zoom-led courses were still very interactive, and the instructors ran the course very well.

Great Experience

Randy S.

The instructor understood the difference between getting certified and being skillful. The approach to the class was geared to make you think about why and how to approach things, kept the entire class engaged, and did a great job keeping the environment fun and funny. Great experience. Thanks, Doug.

Money Well Spent!

Christel E.

Money well spent! Dan is a great facilitator/instructor. I especially appreciated how he uses real world examples to illustrate the points in the class, it made it really easy to grasp the concepts.
